Scope

This document specifies the acceptance testing method for verifying the coordinate measuring machine according to the characteristic indicators given by the manufacturer, and also specifies the re-inspection testing method for the user to periodically verify the performance of the coordinate measuring machine. The methods of acceptance testing and re-inspection testing specified in this document are only applicable to Cartesian coordinate measuring machines using optical distance sensors. It is not clear whether this document applies to coordinate measuring machines with non-Cartesian coordinate systems. With the consent of the parties, this document can also be used for coordinate measuring machines with non-Cartesian coordinate systems. Note: This document is not formulated for coordinate measuring machines whose measurement space is significantly smaller than the size of the detection ball, but the detection principles, standards and procedures described in this document can be used for this type of coordinate measurement by adjusting parameters such as the size of the standard and the number of measurements.
