Scope
This part of GB/T 17215.3 specifies the terms, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, signs, packaging and storage of digital electric energy meters (hereinafter referred to as meters). This section applies to newly manufactured meters installed and used in 50 Hz or 60 Hz power grids, whose metering signal input is a digital sampled value. This standard applies only to instruments installed indoors or outdoors, with measuring elements and displays housed in the same case. If the instrument has other functional units, such as: maximum demand, multi-rate, etc. enclosed in the same case, the corresponding standard applies to these functional units. This section does not apply to energy meters with analog inputs. The metering characteristics of the meter shall comply with the national standard of the static electric energy meter with the corresponding accuracy grade index.
