Scope
This standard specifies the corrosion assessment requirements for transmission line towers (referred to as "towers"), as well as the technical requirements for anti-corrosion protective coatings, inspection requirements, test methods, safety, health and environmental protection requirements. This standard applies to the anti-corrosion protection coating related work of new and in-service iron towers at all stages of design, manufacturing, installation, operation and maintenance. Steel hoops, cross arms and other similar steel structures of cement concrete poles can also be implemented with reference. This standard applies to metallic coatings and non-metallic coatings formed by the following coating processes: hot dip plating, thermal spraying and their sealing coating layers, and paint coating.
