Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of L-phenylalanine. This standard applies to food-grade L-phenylalanine made from biomass as raw material through biological fermentation, enzymatic conversion or extraction and refinement.
