This standard specifies the method for measuring thermoelectromotive force of noble metal and base metal thermocouple wires by comparative method. This standard is applicable to the measurement of thermal electromotive force of precious metal thermocouple wires with graduation numbers S, R and B in the temperature range of 300°C to 1600°C and cheap metal thermocouple wires with graduation numbers K, T, E, J and N. The thermal electromotive force of the thermocouple wire is measured in the temperature range of -196 ° C to 1200 ° C. For other types of precious metals and cheap metal thermocouple wires, it can also be used as a reference. This standard does not apply to the measurement of thermal electromotive force of armored thermocouple materials.
