- Scope
- This standard specifies the methods for measuring the thermoelectromotive force of base metal thermocouple wires - bipolar comparison method and unipolar comparison method. This standard applies to thermocouple wires with graduation numbers K, N, E, J and T (hereinafter referred to as K, N, E, J, T thermocouple wires) within the temperature range of -196°C to 1200°C For thermoelectromotive force measurement, other types of base metal thermocouple wires can also be used as a reference. This standard does not apply to the measurement of thermal electromotive force of armored thermocouple materials.
