Scope

This standard specifies the method for measuring the thermal electromotive force of noble metal thermocouple wires by the comparative method. This standard applies to the measurement of thermal electromotive force of thermocouple wires with graduation numbers S, R and B (hereinafter referred to as S-type, R-type and B-type thermocouple wires) in the temperature range of 300°C to 1700°C. For other Types of precious metal thermocouple wires can also be used as a reference.
