This part of GB/T 14454 specifies the principles, instruments, reagents and operating procedures for the preparation of fragrance samples for laboratory analysis. This section applies to the preparation of essential oils, isolated and synthetic fragrance samples. This section is particularly applicable to flavors that are not directly analysable, that is, those that are solid or semi-solid at room temperature or those that are cloudy due to water or suspended particles. This section does not apply to samples for moisture determination.
