This standard specifies the high-performance liquid chromatography and thin-layer chromatography methods for the determination of gardenia yellow pigment in food. This standard applies to the determination of gardenia yellow in beverages, wine and cakes. The detection limit of the first method is 3.2μg/Ml; the linear range of the standard curve is 0ng/Ml~200ng/Ml.
