This standard specifies the methods for the determination of caffeine content in cola beverages, coffee, tea and their products - ultraviolet spectrophotometry and high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). This standard applies to the determination of caffeine in cola beverages, coffee, tea and their products. The detection limit of ultraviolet method in this standard: 3mg/L for cola drinks; 5mg/100g for coffee, tea and their solid products; 5mg/L for liquid products of coffee and tea. The detection limit of HPLC method in this standard: 0.72mg/L for cola drinks; 1.8mg/100g for tea, coffee and their products.
