Scope

The technical conditions, testing, inspection, installation, operation and calibration guidelines proposed in this standard are applicable to thermal gas mass flowmeters for measuring various gases and mixed gases, and not applicable to measuring liquid mass flow with thermal mass flowmeters. This standard does not apply to hot wire anemometers and other hot film anemometers for measuring point velocity.
