This part specifies the requirements for the immunity of equipment under operating conditions to power-frequency magnetic field disturbances in the following places: ——residential areas and commercial areas; ——industrial and mining enterprises and power plants; ——medium and high voltage substations Place. For equipment installed in different locations, the applicability of this section is determined by the phenomena indicated in Chapter 3. This section does not consider disturbances caused by capacitive and inductive coupling in cables or other components of field installations. Conducted disturbances related to this are considered in other standards. The purpose of this standard is to establish a common and repeatable benchmark to evaluate the performance of household, commercial and industrial electrical and electronic equipment in power frequency (continuous and short-duration) magnetic fields. This section specifies the following items: - recommended test levels; - test equipment; - test arrangement; - test procedures. Standards will also be formulated for other types of magnetic fields: - Magnetic fields of other power frequencies (16 2/3Hz to 20Hz or 30Hz to 400Hz); - Harmonic current magnetic fields (100Hz to 2000Hz); to 150kHz, eg for signal systems of power supply networks); – DC magnetic field.
