Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification and models, requirements, test methods, inspection rules and markings, packaging, transportation and storage of peris altic pumps for the food industry (hereinafter referred to as "pumps"). This standard applies to pumps that transport liquid food media such as alcohol, dairy products, beverages, condiments, vegetable oils, syrups, etc.
