Scope

This standard provides guidance for the stability test of X-ray computed tomography equipment (hereinafter referred to as CT scanning device). This standard applies to those components of CT scanning devices that affect image quality, patient dose and positioning. This standard: --Defines the basic parameters that describe the image quality, patient dose and positioning performance of CT scanning devices; see 4.5 for these parameters to be measured; --Describes the measurement methods of these basic parameters in detail; --Provides evaluation measurements The reference value and deviation standard of the parameters specified in the random documents used for data conformity. These methods rely on non-invasive measurements, using suitable test equipment, to ensure that the functional performance of the device meets established guidelines, or to enable early identification of changes in the characteristics of device components. The purpose is to verify compliance with specifications regarding image quality, patient dose and patient positioning. This standard does not deal with: - Mechanical and electrical safety aspects; - Mechanical, electrical and software performance aspects, unless they are elements of performing stability tests and directly affect image quality, patient dose and positioning.
