Scope

This standard specifies the evaluation method of diesel engine oil's resis ance to valve system wear, resis ance to pis on top ring wear, tendency to inhibit sludge deposition, and oil filter clogging performance of heavy-duty diesel engines with exhaust gas circulation (EGR) under high soot conditions. . This standard is applicable to the evaluation of API CH-4, CI-4, CI-4 and CJ-4 diesel engine oils.
