Scope

This standard test method, referred to as the Mack T-8 method, is suitable for evaluating the viscosity growth performance of diesel engine oil under quantitative soot content. This standard also provides T-8A and T-8E test methods, which are identical to the T-8 test method except for Appendix E and Appendix F. The numerical units in this standard adopt the (SI) International System of Units.
