- This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, sampling and marking, packaging, transportation and storage of five kinds of solvent oils usually composed of petroleum fractions. The products covered by this standard are mainly used as paint solvents (or thinners), dry cleaning solvents and cleaning agents for metal parts. Please refer to Appendix B for the intended use of various solvent oils.
