Scope

This part of GB 30439 specifies the safety requirements for protection against electric shock, protection against mechanical hazards, resistance to mechanical shock and impact, prevention of flame spread, temperature limits and heat resistance of panel-mounted digital display instruments. This part does not cover functions, performance or other characteristics of equipment not related to safety, effectiveness of transport packaging, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) requirements, functional safety, protection against explosive atmospheres, maintenance (repair), maintenance (repair) personnel protection. This Part applies to industrial process signal panel-mounted digital display instruments (hereinafter referred to as digital display meters).
