Scope

This standard applies to switches, isolators, isolating switches and fuse combinations in power distribution circuits with a rated voltage not exceeding 1000 V AC or 1500 V DC. The manufacturer should specify the type, rating and characteristics of the fuse in accordance with the relevant standards of the combined fuse. This section does not apply to electrical appliances included in the scope of GB 14048.2, GB 14048.4 and GB 14048.5; however, if the shape and fuse combination appliances within the scope of this section are normally used for starting, accelerating and (or) stopping a single motor, The additional requirements specified in Appendix A shall be complied with. The requirements for three-pole switches for single-pole operation are included in Annex C. Auxiliary switches used in electrical appliances within the scope of this part shall meet the requirements of GB 14048.5. This standard does not include additional requirements for explosion-proof electrical appliances. The purpose of this standard is to specify: a) the characteristics of electrical appliances. b) Relevant conditions that electrical appliances should meet: 1) Operation and performance under normal use conditions; 2) Operation and performance under specified abnormal conditions (such as short-circuit conditions); 3) Dielectric properties. c) Tests to demonstrate compliance with these conditions and the methods used to carry out these tests. d) The data that should be marked on the electrical appliance or the data that the manufacturer (such as in the product catalogue) needs to provide.
