Scope
This standard specifies the general requirements, technical levels, process conditions, inspection implementation and weld quality classification for radiographic inspection of ship steel welds. This standard is applicable to the radiographic inspection of fusion welded butt joints of steel with a base metal thickness of 2 mm to 200 mm. The radiographic inspection of other components and finished steel welds provided for shipbuilding can be implemented with reference to this standard.
