Scope

This standard specifies the basic requirements for ionizing radiation protection and radiation source safety (hereinafter referred to as "protection and safety"). This International Standard applies to the protection of personnel from exposure to ionizing radiation in practice and interventions and the safety of sources in practice. This standard does not apply to the protection against possible harm to personnel caused by non-ionizing radiation (such as microwaves, ultraviolet rays, visible light and infrared radiation, etc.).
