1.1 This part of GB/T 12008 specifies the naming system of polyether polyols. This system can be used as a basis for classification. 1.2 Different types of polyether polyols are distinguished by the following designated fixed names and a naming system based on the functionality of initiators in the characteristic item group, the nominal molecular weight of polyether polyols, modifications or special properties, etc.: a ) Functionality of main initiator; b) Functionality of secondary initiator; c) Thousands digit of nominal molecular weight; d) Hundreds digit of nominal molecular weight; e) Modification or special performance code. 1.3 This part applies to the naming of polyether polyols for polyurethane materials. 1.4 This section does not mean that polyether polyols with the same name must have the same properties. This section does not provide engineering data, performance data, or processing condition data required to describe specific uses and/or processing methods of polyether polyols. 1.5 In order to explain the special use of a certain polyether polyol, or other information for the manufacturer to distinguish or explain, additional requirements can be given in character group 4.
