Scope

This part of GB/T 4909 specifies the test equipment, sample preparation, measurement procedures, test results and evaluation of the bare wire tensile test. This section applies to the measurement of the tensile properties of round, rectangular, shaped conductors and stranded conductors. The test method specified in this part is to subject a certain length of the test piece to an increasing tensile stress, usually until the test piece breaks, and measure its breaking force and elongation. This section should be used together with GB/T 4909.1-2009.
