- Scope
- This standard specifies the requirements, testing, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage requirements for natural gas generator sets used in the petroleum industry. This standard applies to generating sets consisting of 3 kW-3150 kW, rated frequency 50 Hz, reciprocating internal combustion engines, alternators, control devices and auxiliary equipment fueled by natural gas. Generating sets fueled by other combustible gases or generating sets with a frequency of 60 Hz can be implemented by reference.
