Scope
This section describes the procedures for measuring and evaluating the external mechanical vibration characteristics of generating sets at specified measuring points. This standard applies to fixed and mobile, rigid and (or) elastically mounted alternator sets driven by reciprocating internal combustion engines. This section applies to land and marine generator sets, not to aviation or drive land vehicles and locomotive generators. For some generator sets for special purposes (such as power supply for hospitals, high-rise buildings, etc.), it is necessary to put forward some supplementary requirements. The relevant provisions of this section can be used as a basis. For generator sets driven by other reciprocating engines (such as biogas engines, steam engines, etc.), the provisions of this section can also be used as a basis.
