Scope
This part of GB 7260 applies to electronic uninterruptible power supply equipment with energy storage devices in the DC link. This section cites relevant content of 4943-2001 and IEC 60950-1:2001. The main function of the uninterruptible power supply (UPS) covered by this standard is to ensure the continuity of the AC power output. The UPS also improves the quality of the power supply by maintaining the specified characteristics of the power supply. Notes on regional differences in relevant chapters of GB 4943-2001 and IEC 60950-1:2001 are also used. This section applies to mobile, stationary, fixed or embedded UPS intended to be installed in restricted access areas and used in low-voltage power distribution systems. This section specifies the requirements to ensure the safety of maintenance personnel. This section aims to ensure the safety of UPS installation, operation and maintenance according to the method specified by the manufacturer. The UPS may be a single UPS unit or an interconnected UPS system. This part excludes DC powered electronic ballasts (IEC 60347 and IEC 60925) and UPS based on rotating electrical machines. See GB 7260.1 for general regulations and safety requirements of UPS intended to be installed in areas accessible to operators, and see GB 7260.2 for requirements and definitions of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC).
