This standard specifies the requirements for screw-type or non-screw-type terminal blocks mounted on racks to provide electrical and mechanical connections for copper conductors, mainly for industrial or similar purposes. This part is applicable to circuits with a rated voltage AC not exceeding 1000V1), a frequency up to 1000Hz or a DC not exceeding 1500V, for connecting cross-sectional areas of 0.2mm2 to 300mm2 (AWG 24/600 kcmil) with or without specially processed round copper wire terminals in rows. The following products may use this standard as a guide: - Terminal blocks that require special devices on the conductors, such as quick-connect terminals or wrap-around connections, etc.; - special type of terminal block, such as isolation terminal block, etc. When referring to GB 14048.1, the term "clamping piece" is used in this section instead of "terminal".
