Scope
This standard specifies the requirements for three-position enabling switches. This section applies to the use of switches as elements of enabling devices (see the provisions of 10.9 in GB 5226.1-2008), providing signals under the following conditions: 1) when activated, allowing mechanical operation to be initiated by a separate start control, and 2) When de-energized: a) initiates the stop function, and b) prevents the machine from running. This section does not apply to: -- three-position enabling switches for non-electrical control circuits, such as hydraulic and pneumatic types; -- enabling switches without three-position mechanical devices; -- emergency braking devices (see GB/T 14048.14).
