Scope: This standard specifies the characteristics, design, manufacture and test methods of temperature measuring devices in the reactor core and main coolant circuits of nuclear power plants. This standard applies to temperature gauges used in the reactor core and primary coolant circuits of pressurized water reactor nuclear power plants, including thermocouples and resistance thermometers (RTDs). Other reactor-type nuclear power plants can refer to this standard for implementation.
