Scope: This standard specifies the requirements for the design, material selection, manufacturing, testing, calibration and inspection of resis ance thermometers, important safety instruments for nuclear power plants. This standard is applicable to resis ance thermometers, important safety instruments in nuclear power plants. Resis ance thermometers in other nuclear facilities can be used as a reference. This standard does not specify requirements for the design, material selection and construction of sleeves, guide tubes, extension cables and temperature transmitters or bridges associated with resis ance thermometers.
