Scope
This part of GB/T 31840 specifies the material, structure, Dimensions and test requirements. This part is applicable to the rated voltage 35 kV (Um = 40.5 kV) aluminum alloy core extruded insulated power cables. When deciding on the cable application, it is recommended to consider the possible risk of radial water ingress. This standard covers so-called longitudinal water-blocking structural cables and their tests. This section does not apply to cables for special installation and operating conditions, such as cables for overhead cables, mining industry, nuclear power plants (in and near containment), and cables for underwater or ships.
