Scope
GB/T 2951 specifies the test methods for cables and optical cables for power distribution and communication, including polymer insulation and sheath materials for ships and offshore cables and optical cables. This part of GB/T 2951 specifies the heat aging test method. These methods apply to the most common types of insulation and sheathing materials (elastomers, polyvinyl chloride, polyethylene, polypropylene, etc.).
