Scope: This part of GB/T 30921 specifies the Karl Fischer volumetric method and thermogravimetric method for the determination of water content in industrial purified terephthalic acid (PTA). The Karl Fischer volumetric method in this part is applicable to the determination of moisture content in industrial PTA not less than 0.010% (mass fraction); the thermogravimetric method is applicable to the determination of moisture content in industrial PTA not less than 0.050% (mass fraction) determination.
