Scope
This part of GB/T 30921 specifies atomic absorption spectrophotometry and inductively coupled plasma emission spectrometry for the determination of metal content in industrial purified terephthalic acid (PTA). The flame atomic absorption spectrophotometry method in this part is applicable to the determination of PTA samples with a content of not less than 0.05 mg/kg of sodium, cobalt, manganese, iron, chromium, nickel, molybdenum, and aluminum; the graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrophotometry method is applicable to the determination of sodium Determination of PTA samples with content not less than 0.001 mg/kg, cobalt, manganese, iron, chromium, nickel, molybdenum, titanium and aluminum not less than 0.005 mg/kg; inductively coupled plasma emission spectrometry is suitable for sodium and chromium , cobalt, aluminum, titanium, potassium, magnesium content of not less than 0.020 mg/kg, manganese, iron, nickel, molybdenum, calcium content of not less than 0.055 mg/kg PTA sample determination.
