This part of JB/T 12530 specifies the terms and definitions, general requirements, technical classification, test preparation, transillumination implementation and test report of radiographic testing methods for plastic welds. This section applies to thermoplastics such as polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), polyvinyl chloride (PVC), acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene plastic (ABS) and modified polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE). Radiographic testing of pipes or plates and welded joints made by hot air welding, extrusion welding or hot melt welding processes.
