Scope: This standard specifies the basic requirements for the terms and definitions, service conditions, quality requirements and tests of AC PLC filter capacitors used in HVDC transmission systems. This standard applies to the AC side of the converter station in the high-voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission system, and is used for AC PLC filter capacitor units and AC PLC filter capacitor units with a rated operating frequency of 50 Hz or 60 Hz and filtering harmonics in the frequency range of 30 kHz to 500 kHz.
