Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, service conditions, quality requirements and basic requirements for testing, design and structure of DC filter capacitors and neutral bus surge capacitors used in HVDC transmission systems. This standard applies to two types of capacitors installed indoors or outdoors on the DC side of HVDC converter stations: a) DC filter capacitors: capacitor banks and capacitors installed in DC filters C1 Unit; b) Neutral bus impact capacitor: capacitor bank and capacitor unit installed between the neutral bus and ground on the DC side of the converter station. This standard does not apply to capacitor banks and capacitor units in DC filters C2 and C3, which requires participation in GB/T 20994.
