Scope: This part of GB/T 13288 specifies the calibration of the surface roughness comparison sample in GB/T 13288.1 and the stylus measurement method of surface roughness. This part of GB/T 13288 is also applicable to the determination of the surface roughness of flat steel or replicas after blast cleaning and with an average peak-to-valley difference in the range of R_y5=20 μm to 200 μm. Measurements can be made on a representative area of the blast-cleaned surface or, if not directly on the surface, on a replica of the surface (see Appendix C). For an alternative method see ISO 8503-3.
