This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules and markings, packaging, transportation and storage of watches using gemstones and precious metals. This standard applies to mechanical watches or analog quartz watches that meet one of the following conditions. ——Appearance parts are inlaid with gems;
——Gemstones are bonded to the dial surface;
——Precious metals and their alloys whose purity is not lower than that specified in this standard are used in whole or in part. Pocket watches and movements using non-functional gemstones, precious metals and their alloy materials can also be used as a reference.
