Scope

This standard specifies the method and requirements for the application of X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy to determine the content of precious metals in jewelry. This standard applies to the qualitative analysis of jewelry and other handicrafts and the screening detection of precious metals (gold, silver, platinum, palladium) in them.
