Scope

This standard specifies the test method for the release of nickel in jewelry to determine whether the release of nickel in the sample is greater than 0.5 μg/(cm²·week). This standard applies to the test of nickel release from nickel-containing jewelry specified in 4.3.2 of GB 11887-2002, and also applies to products that have long-term contact with human skin.
