This part specifies the method for the determination of total aldehyde content in styrene for industrial use. This section applies to the determination of styrene samples with a total aldehyde content of 10 mg/kg to 300 mg/kg. The total aldehyde content is calculated and reported as benzaldehyde. The presence of ketones in the sample will interfere with the determination. This section is not intended to address all safety issues related to its use. It is the user's responsibility to establish appropriate safety and health measures to ensure compliance with relevant national laws and regulations.
