Scope: This part specifies the determination of trace amounts of benzene in industrial styrene by gas chromatography. This part is applicable to the determination of benzene in the content range of 0.2mg/kg～100mg/kg in industrial styrene. This section is not intended to explain the safety issues related to its use, the user is responsible for taking appropriate safety and health measures, and to ensure compliance with relevant national regulations. CAUTION: Styrene is flammable. Exothermic polymerization will occur in contact with peroxides, mineral acids and aluminum trichloride, etc. High concentrations of liquid styrene and its vapors are irritating to the eyes and respiratory system.
