Scope

The special requirements specified in this Part of GB(/T) 16895 apply to mobile or transportable units. In this section the term "unit" refers to a vehicle and/or mobile or transportable structure in which the whole or part of the electrical installation is housed. These units are: - mobile, such as vehicles (self-propelled or towed); - or transportable, such as boxes placed on a base. Examples of its application, such as broadcasting vehicles, medical service vehicles, advertising vehicles, fire trucks, engineering vehicles, etc. Two or more units can be connected together electrically. These requirements do not apply to: - Wharfs and yachts; - Mobile machinery in GB 5226.1; - Recreational vehicles; - Towing equipment for electric vehicles. Additional requirements of other parts of Part 7, such as additional requirements for showers, medical places, etc., should also be considered for this part, if applicable.
