This standard specifies the general requirements for station layout, sample collection, storage, transportation, laboratory analysis, quality assurance and other aspects in the process of carrying out offshore environmental monitoring, as well as the preparation of monitoring plans and monitoring reports. This standard applies to routine environmental quality monitoring such as marine water quality monitoring, marine sediment quality monitoring, marine life monitoring, intertidal zone ecological monitoring, and marine organism pollutant residue monitoring in coastal waters nationwide, as well as coastal sea environmental functional zones. Environmental quality monitoring, beach water quality monitoring, environmental impact monitoring of land-based direct discharge into the sea pollution sources, environmental impact monitoring of large-scale coastal projects and environmental monitoring of red tide-prone areas, etc. Nearshore marine environment emergency monitoring and scientific research monitoring can be implemented with reference to this standard.
