Scope: This part of GB 17378 stipulates the analysis methods of seawater monitoring items, and puts forward technical regulations and requirements for sample collection, storage, transportation, and measurement result calculation of seawater analysis. This section applies to oceans, coastal waters, estuaries and mixed brackish and fresh waters. It can be used for marine environmental monitoring, routine water quality monitoring, environmental pollution investigation and monitoring in shallow coastal waters, and emergency special investigation and monitoring of marine dumping, dredging, red tide and marine pollution accidents.
