- Scope
- This part specifies a test method for determining the wear resistance and wear coefficient of aluminum and aluminum alloy anodized coatings by means of a wheel wear tester. This section applies to the inspection of plate-shaped aluminum samples with an anodized film thickness not less than 5 μm. This method can be used to determine the wear resistance and wear coefficient of the entire layer thickness of the anodic oxide film and the surface layer or a certain layer of an arbitrarily selected oxide film. This section does not apply to the determination of anodized samples with uneven surface. The determination of the wear resistance of organic polymer films can refer to this section.
