Scope
This standard specifies the requirements for site selection, design and construction, entry conditions of landfill waste, operation, closure, post-maintenance and management, pollution control and monitoring of domestic waste landfills. This standard is applicable to pollution control and supervision and management in the process of construction, operation and maintenance and management of domestic waste landfills after closure. Some provisions of this standard are also applicable to the construction and operation of domestic waste transfer stations that are built in conjunction with domestic waste landfills. This standard is only applicable to pollutant discharge behaviors permitted by law; the site selection of newly established pollution sources and the management of existing pollution sources in special protection areas shall be in accordance with the "Law of the People's Republic of China on the Prevention and Control of Air Pollution" and "Law of the People's Republic of China on the Prevention and Control of Water Pollution" , "The Law of the People's Republic of China on Marine Environmental Protection", "The Law of the People's Republic of China on the Prevention and Control of Environmental Pollution by Solid Waste", "The Law of the People's Republic of China on the Prevention and Control of Radioactive Pollution", and the "Law of the People's Republic of China on Environmental Impact Assessment".
