This section applies to a single uninterruptible power supply (UPS) connected to an industrial or public low-voltage power grid or a UPS system consisting of several UPS interconnections and related controllers/switching devices. They are intended for installation in any operator accessible or independent electrical location. This part belongs to the EMC standard of the product, which takes precedence over all general standards in all respects, and does not require additional tests. These requirements have been chosen to guarantee an appropriate level of electromagnetic compatibility for UPSs in public or industrial locations. However, these levels do not cover extreme situations, which can occur in any venue, but with low probability. To accommodate the varying range of physical dimensions and power ratings of the UPS, various test conditions need to be considered. As an independent product, the UPS unit or UPS system should meet the relevant requirements of this part, but does not consider the EMC phenomenon generated by any load connected to the output terminal of the UPS equipment by the user. This part does not contain special installation environment, nor does it consider the failure of UPS. This part does not cover DC powered electronic ballasts (IEC 60924 and IEC 60925) or UPS based on rotary units. This part specifies: —— EMC requirements; ——test methods;
