- This standard specifies the terminology, types, basic parameters, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of polyurethane buffers for cranes (hereinafter referred to as buffers). This standard applies to buffers for cranes, and also applies to buffer devices used by other equipment to mitigate rigid collisions during operation or at the end of operation.
